DEENA DAYAL SEVA SAMITHI 150TH YEAR CELEBRATION OF 1857 REVOLT

Kamarajar Birthday declared as "Education Day" was celebrated in a grand manner.
Kamarajar's service to the nation and his noble deed of uplifting the downtrodden people was enacted. Principal Smt.Girija Seshadri's speech on the occasion was very inspiring and she insisted the need of being bold in service.

"Lives of great men all remind us we can make our lives sublime And departing leave behind us Foot prints on the sands of time."

 The function came to an end with the National Song.

Guru Purnim was celebrated on 04.08.07 with spiritual and religious fervor. Most venerable Master (Mathaji SHI KUANY SENG THE ABBOT OF KUAN-IM-BODHI-SATTAVA and PROF.PREMA PANDURANG, GOKUDHAM adorned the Gurupeetam and blessed the teachers. Students and the public.
 

Our Alumni Mr.N.Ragavan,B.E. Asst Manager Sauter Race Technology hoisted the National Flag.

Mr.K.Srinivasan B.sc.,M.C.M M.CD, B.A, ChangePond Technology inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp(25th camp) and released the journals.

The students were motivated to join hands in nation building and its upliftment towards glory.

An Educational Exhibition on "Freedom Movement of India(1857-1947) was organized. The precious articles and photographs of our Freedom fighters were displayed. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr.B.S.Raghavan IAS(Retd).

On the eve of 60th Independence Day Celebrations the cultural wing of our school Vishva Kalakendra performed various folk dances.
Rajya Sabha member Tmt.Kanimozhi M.P. honored the folk artists and she appreciated the valiant efforts of the school in popularizing the cultural heritage amidst the students, the future generation.
 

Vishva Hindu Vidya Kendra Schools of Chennai Celebrated Teacher's Day at West Mambalam on 5th September 2007. Mrs.Sundari Siddartha, the professor and a great writer in Sanskrit prescribed over the function.

"Kalaimamani Kavinghar" Subbu Arumugam maestro in Villu Pattu performed a programme highlighting the teachers role in the society.
 

Vishva Hindu Vidya Kendra arranged a discourse on Lakshmi Ashtottram by "Sollin Selvar Pravachana Vasapathy SriU.V.Velukudi Krishnan Swamigal 18.10.07 to 21.10.07 During Navarathiri Celebration the Navarathri Golu displayed at West Mambalam bagged the best School Golu award by Parle co.
 

Childrens Day was celebrated on 14th November and the events were planned to bring out the talents of our school students in various categories.
 

Chess Master Mr.Viswanathan Anand, the World Champion was received at the Airport by our school team of players on his return after winning the World's chess championship.
 

Festival of lights, Karthigai Deepam was inaugurated by the Principal Mrs.Girija Seshadri. A poem on the glory of deepam was read by Priyanka of VIII-C students speech during the celebration brought out the cultural bond. Principal Madam stressed the values of celebrating the festival.
